„Songs Of Silence“ ist rein instrumental und erscheint am 17. November via Mute. Ihr könnt das Werk HIER vorbestellen! Clarke hat es in seinem Homestudio in New York aufgenommen, ausgehend von Spielereien mit Eurorack-Modulen, einem modularen Synthesizer-Format. „Ich hätte ewig weitermachen können, ich hätte nicht aufhören können“, so Clarke, „ich genoss den Prozess so sehr und dachte nicht daran, dass jemand anderes es hören könnte. Aber zu hören, wie es sich in meinem Studio entwickelt, in meinem Kopf, neue Tricks zu lernen – das war das Beste an der ganzen Sache. Ich war wirklich geschockt, als Mute sagte, dass sie dieses Album veröffentlichen wollen.“ Das Musikvideo zur ersten Single „The Lamentations Of Jeremiah“, welches mit einem Cello-Beitrag von Reed Hays arbeitet, findet Ihr unten!
ENGLISH: “Songs Of Silence” is purely instrumental and will be released on November 17th via Mute. You can pre-order the work HERE! Clarke recorded it in his home studio in New York, starting with tinkering with Eurorack modules, a modular synthesizer format. „I could have gone on forever, I couldn’t have stopped,“ says Clarke, „I was enjoying the process so much and I didn’t think about anyone else hearing it. But hearing it unfold in my studio, in my own Head, learning new tricks – that was the best part of the whole thing.
