„New Gold Dream – Live from Paisley Abbey“ erscheint am 27. Oktober via BMG und kann HIER vorbestellt werden! Die Liveperformance des Albums wurde als Teil der Sky Arts Serie „Greatest Albums live“ unweit ihrer Heimatstadt Glasgow gefilmt. Sänger Jim Kerr zur Wahl der Location: „Als es darum ging, einen Ort für die Show zu wählen, wollten wir es hier in der Nähe machen. Aber es musste auch ein Ort sein, der irgendwie aus der Norm fällt, weil es für uns ein ganz besonderes Album ist. Und so kamen wir auf Paisley Abbey, da wir ihre Geschichte und ihren Look kennen und dachten, dass das wirklich etwas Besonderes sein könnte.“ Die Kirche aus dem zwölften Jahrhundert ist wirklich eine atemberaubende Kulisse für die Aufführung des Erfolgsalbums, das der Band Anfang der Achtziger den Durchbruch beschert hatte und gerade seinen 40. ENGLISH: „New Gold Dream – Live from Paisley Abbey“ will be released on October 27th via BMG and can be pre-ordered HERE! The album’s live performance was filmed just outside of her hometown of Glasgow as part of the Sky Arts series Greatest Albums Live. Singer Jim Kerr on choosing the location: “When it came to choosing a location for the show, we wanted to do it around here. But it also had to be somewhere that was kind of out of the ordinary because it’s a very special album for us. And so we came up with Paisley Abbey because we know its history and its look and we thought it could be really special.” The 12th-century church is truly a stunning backdrop for the performance of the band’s hit album in the early Eighties brought the breakthrough and just celebrated his 40th birthday.
