Das neue Album „Nostalgia’s Glas“ erscheint am 18. August via Fuzz Club und kann HIER vorbestellt werden. Die neue Single „Frame Of Obsession“, die Ihr unten hören könnt, bietet einen weiteren Eindruck – Frontmann Craig Dyer dazu: „Die meisten Menschen haben sich irgendwann einmal schuldig gemacht, von jemandem oder etwas besessen zu sein. Es besteht eine Gefahr, wenn man die Vergangenheit romantisiert und sich weigert, eine Situation klar und rational zu betrachten.“ Das Thema Nostalgie zieht sich, wie der Name schon verrät, auch durch den Rest des Albums: „Wenn Sie vor der Aufgabe stehen, die elfte Platte Ihrer Karriere als Musikprojekt aufzunehmen, denken Sie lange und gründlich darüber nach, in welche Richtung Sie gehen möchten. Schauen Sie sich an, was derzeit beliebt ist, und möchten Sie sich einen Platz in der modernen Musik erkämpfen, die Sie derzeit genießen, oder blicken Sie auf die Grundlagen zurück, auf denen Ihre Band ihren Namen und ihre Fangemeinde aufgebaut hat? Dieses nostalgische Gefühl, über die Schulter in die Vergangenheit zu blicken, beeinflusste letztendlich sowohl den Musikstil dieser neuen Platte als auch das Thema jedes einzelnen Titels. Ziel war es, eine Sammlung von Liedern zu erstellen, die eine Hommage an unseren Backkatalog darstellen und gleichzeitig alles umsetzen, was wir dabei gelernt haben. Ich habe versucht, nicht nur die positiven, sondern auch die negativen Elemente der Nostalgie zu analysieren, vor allem die Romantisierung der Vergangenheit, sei es die Politik eines Landes, die umstrittenen Hinterlassenschaften von Film- und Musikikonen oder die sentimentale Idealisierung längst toter, toxischer Beziehungen.“

The new single „Frame Of Obsession“ which you can hear below offers another impression – frontman Craig Dyer comments: “Most people have found themselves, at some stage or another, guilty of becoming obsessed with someone or something, it’s a danger when you romanticise the past and refuse to look at a situation clearly and rationally.” As the name suggests, the theme of nostalgia runs through the rest of the album: “When faced with making the eleventh record of your musical projects career, you think long and hard about the direction you wish to take. Do you look at what is currently popular and aim to carve out a space for yourself in the modern music which you currently enjoy, or do you look back at the foundations upon which your band has built its name and fanbase? This nostalgic sense of looking over one’s shoulder to the past ended up influencing both the musical style of this new record and the subject matter of each track. The aim became to create a collection of songs that paid homage to our back catalogue, whilst implementing all that had been learnt along the way. I attempted to dissect not only the positive but the negative elements of nostalgia, primarily the romanticisation of the past, be it the politics of a country, the controversial legacies of film and musical icons or the sentimental idealisation of long dead toxic relationships.”
