Ohne Umschweife kommen die Schweden gleich mit dem einprägsamen Opener „Never Forget“ zur Sache und powern sofort herrlich hymnisch nach vorne! Symphonic Metal, eine anhaltend vielfach in die kreative Pflicht genommene Stilart, oft leidig seicht komponiert, ebenso oft dann mit pseudomonumentaler Digital-Klangtechnik zugekleistert – jedoch nicht so bei Eleine, hier stimmt einfach alles! So besticht mich das neue und vierte Album „We Shall Remain“ auch im Folgenden vollauf, wie mit dem nächsten Song „Stand By The Flame“ qualitativ nahtlos zu erleben ist – dramatisch, episch, beschwörend, mit genussvoll raffinierten Gitarren, die sich auf einem wirklich begeisternd soliden Rhythmusfundament geradezu berauschend ins eigene Glück schmettern. Sängerin Madeleine „Eleine“ Liljestam vokalisiert dieses dunkelromantische, emotional fesselnde und inspirierend visionäre Spektakel auf höchst einfühlsame und jederzeit natürlich-unverkrampfte Weise, sie lebt sozusagen jede Sekunde der Kompositionen. Und es kommt der aktuellen Musik so sehr zugute, was sich da an inbrünstiger Hingabe und innig eleganter, düster-feminin erlauchter Tiefe aus ihrer begabten Kehle zwischen die gigantisch geschmackvollen Partituren formuliert. In „Blood In Their Eyes“ sind gar sakrale Nuancen inmitten erdrutschartig donnernder Schwermetallausbrüche zu bestaunen. Ja, auch kantige Härte und überwältigende Power können Eleine tatsächlich optimal, ich habe das Album daher – mitsamt seinen diversen Amon Amarth’schen Brachialfacetten – gänzlich in mein Herz geschlossen.

Thus, the new and fourth album „We Shall Remain“ captivates me completely in the following, as can be experienced qualitatively seamlessly with the next song „Stand By The Flame“ – dramatic, epic, evocative, with delightfully refined guitars, which almost intoxicatingly smash themselves into their own happiness on a really inspiring solid rhythm foundation. Singer Madeleine „Eleine“ Liljestam vocalizes this darkly romantic, emotionally captivating and inspiringly visionary spectacle in a highly empathetic and at all times naturally uninhibited manner, she lives every second of the compositions, so to speak. And it benefits the current music so much, what formulates itself there in fervent devotion and intimately elegant, darkly feminine illustrious depth from her gifted throat between the gigantically tasteful scores. In „Blood In Their Eyes“ even sacral nuances can be marveled at in the midst of landslide-like thundering heavy metal outbursts. Yes, also edgy hardness and overwhelming power can Eleine actually optimal, I have the album therefore – along with its various Amon Amarth’schen Brachialfacetten – completely closed in my heart.
