Das 16. Ministry-Album wird den Namen „Hopiumforthemasses“ tragen und am 1. März via Nuclear Blast erscheinen. Ihr könnt es bereits im Labelshop vorbestellen! Bandleader Al Jourgensen dazu: „Genau wie du oder jeder andere bin ich in diesem Leben nur ein Passagier. Ich beobachte soziale Veränderungen, politische Veränderungen und wirtschaftliche Veränderungen und kommentiere sie, weil ich ein Recht auf den ersten Verfassungszusatz habe. Viele Leute sagen, Künstler und Sportler sollten den Mund halten und Ball spielen. Nein, ich bin auch auf dieser Reise. Wenn ich etwas sehe, sage ich etwas. Das spiegelt wider, wohin jedes Album geht. Anstatt sesshaft zu bleiben und über zerbrochene Beziehungen, inneren Aufruhr oder was auch immer diese Woche weh tut, zu singen, kommentiere ich das, was vor sich geht, aus der Perspektive eines Mitreisenden.“ Einen Vorgeschmack davon, wie das auf Album Nummer 16 klingt, gibt es unten mit der Single „Goddamn White Trash“ featuring Pepper Keenan (Corrosion Of Conformity, Down).

The 16th Ministry album will be called „Hopiumforthemasses“ and will be released on March 1st via Nuclear Blast. You can already pre-order it in the label shop! Band leader Al Jourgensen comments: “Just like you or anybody else, I’m simply a passenger in this lifetime. I’m watching social changes, political changes, and economic changes, and I comment on them because I do have a First Amendment right. A lot of people say artists and athletes should shut up and play ball. No, I’m on this trip too. If I see something, I say something. That reflects on where each album goes. Instead of staying sedentary and singing about broken relationships, inner turmoil, or whatever is hurting this week, I comment on what’s going on from the perspective of a fellow passenger.” A taste of what that sounds like on album number 16 is below with the single „Goddamn White Trash“ featuring Pepper Keenan (Corrosion Of Conformity, Down).
