Depeche Mode sind nach wie vor auf „Memento Mori“-Tour und präsentieren sich sowie ihre neuen und alten Stücke auf den Bühnen der Welt in Höchstform. Für heute war ein Konzert in der finnischen Hauptstadt Helsinki geplant, doch das Wetter macht Dave Gahan und Martin Gore einen Strich durch die Rechnung. ENGLISH: Depeche Mode are still on „Memento Mori“ tour and present themselves and their new and old pieces on the stages of the world in top form. A concert in the Finnish capital Helsinki was planned for today, but the weather threw a spanner in the works for Dave Gahan and Martin Gore. You can read the band’s full statement on the cancellation below!
Und hier das Statement in voller Länge: „An unsere Fans in Helsinki – Aufgrund der vorhergesagten Unwetter und der Gefahr von Gewittern und starkem Wind sind wir gezwungen, die morgige Show im Kaisaniemi-Park abzusagen. Die Gesundheit und Sicherheit unserer Fans, der Crew und aller vor Ort arbeitenden Personen haben für uns oberste Priorität und wir wurden von Tukes (der finnischen Agentur für Sicherheit und Chemikalien) und der örtlichen Feuerwehr darauf hingewiesen, dass es aufgrund der vorhergesagten Wetterbedingungen unsicher sein könnte, weiterzumachen. Fans können ihre gekauften Tickets an der Verkaufsstelle zurückgeben (Ticketmaster) bis zum 7. Oktober 2023. Wir entschuldigen uns für die Unannehmlichkeiten und hoffen, dass alle in Sicherheit bleiben.“
ENGLISH: And here the full statement: „To our fans in Helsinki – Due to forecasted severe weather conditions and the threat of thunderstorms and high winds, we are being forced to cancel tomorrow’s show at Kaisaniemi Park. The health and safety of our fans, crew, and everyone working at the site are our number one priority, and we have been advised by Tukes (the Finnish Safety and Chemicals Agency) and the local fire department that it could be unsafe to proceed given the forecasted weather conditions. Fans can return their purchased tickets to the point of purchase (Ticketmaster) by October 7, 2023. We apologize for the inconvenience and hope everyone stays safe.“
